Nothing joins people together like great food and fellowship, and that is the driving
force of “A Feast with Friends.” On Thursday, November 22, The Friends of Conroe will once again be partnering with
the Salvation Army to serve a traditional Thanksgiving meal to an estimated 2,500 guests at the Wayne Bergstrom
Center of Hope located at 301 Avenue E in Conroe. Serving will begin at 11AM and run until approximately 3PM and is free and open to the general public.
In preparation for the Feast with Friends, The Friends of Conroe volunteers are working to prepare over 1800 lbs of
smoked turkey and spiral sliced ham, plus all the traditional sides and fixings to provide a family style meal as a way to
bring the community together in fellowship and good will. Area churches are also working with the Salvation Army to
generously provide trays of dressing. There will also be a variety of pies, cakes and other tasty sweets to top off the
meal. If you are interested in volunteering or would like to join in the festivities, please visit www.FriendsofConroe.com for available opportunities and more information.
